Several years ago I took a motor coach holiday for six days from my home in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to Branson Missouri. I didn't know a soul of the bus when I first boarded but we all became friends quit quickly. We headed southwest toward Rockford, Illinois with the guide doing some narrations.

We stopped for lunch in Urbana and this where we got to know each other better and the conversations started. From there we drove on to St Louis, Missouri for the night. That was a good thing since I have a friend living there and was able to spend some time with her in the evening. The next morning, after the continental breakfast at the hotel we headed out to tour the famous - Gateway Arch - and the - Anheuser-Busch brewery - where toured and tasted the product. Then were off to Springfield and stopped at Gander Mountain sporting goods store for a couple of hours.

It was huge and I had never seen so much sporting well in one place before. Next stop Branson. We arrived in Branson late in the afternoon and went to our hotel for a little freshening up before heading to dinner and our first show. We spent three days in Branson seeing 2 shows a day, we toured the winery there and went to the Shepard of the Hills farm in the Ozarks for their play. We left Branson and headed for St Charles, Missouri where we spent the night. That evening we spent at the casino first having dinner and then gambling.

The next mooring we headed home after driving through the quaint streets of St Charles. We arrived home late that afternoon and had to say good-bye to our new friend. The nice thing about travelling by coach on such a motor coach-holiday is you can leave the driving to them and just relax and enjoy the scenery along the way.
