The arrival of the infant into a home is both an exciting as well as tiring period. The greater preparation you do now will help the stress and tired levels once the baby is born. When you are about one month from your due date here are a few things you can do before baby is born. I am sure you have recognized that being pregnant can be both exciting as well as tiring at the same time because there is so much that has to be done before the baby arrives. So preparation is essential to helping you enjoy those first couple of weeks after baby is born. These helpful items will help you get ready for the new baby's arrival. These are items you you'll want to get done about a 30 days before baby is due.
All do it yourself tasks need to be finished. Many new parents believe they will finish the projects when the baby is born, but that simply won't happen right away. It might be tough to believe but the baby's arrival could delay you finishing these projects for months. So any incomplete task should be finished. Additionally don't start any brand new tasks unless they're absolutely necessary. Parents-to-be will frequently use the birth of a baby to get home improvements done they have been meaning to do. If you have began home improvement tasks complete them. If you do not complete them now, it could take months or even years after the baby is born to complete them. And do not attempt to start any new task unless you're 100% certain that you can complete them before the baby is born.
70 degrees is the best temperature for baby in a home. So now is the time to monitor your home. In the rooms that baby will occupy the most, set the thermostat to 70 degrees and then find out if the it continues to be consistently 70 degrees. Babies do well in homes that are about 70 degrees. Set your thermostats to 70 and then monitor the room to determine if the temperature continues to be at seventy degrees. Try this in the rooms where baby will be spending the most time.
I am sure you have heard from many people but you need to realize that those first few weeks with your newborn will be very hectic and a little crazy. Take the time you have now and get as much done as possible. If you are not physically able to clean the house top to bottom then enlist the help of friends or hire a cleaning service. Maintain the clean house by putting things away and cleaning up right after you have finished your meals. Doing these things help keep you ready because you never know when baby will make his appearance.
Go on a shopping spree and stock up. Everyday things like shampoo, toothpaste and soap are things you want to stock up on. Paper goods are one more thing you will want to stock up on and include toilet tissue and paper towels. Include paper plates in that list because there just might be a few times when baby is born that you will not want to wash dishes. Make sure that you include cleaning supplies in your shopping spree. Make sure you have plenty of clothing detergent including the ones you will wash baby's clothes and diapers in.
Non-perishable items and grocery store will be your next stop. You may want to buy a couple of frozen meals to have on hand, even if you don't normally eat them. There may be times those first few weeks when they will come in handy. Make two weeks of dinners ahead of time and freeze them if frozen meals are not your style. I know it seems like a lot of work now, but you will be so glad that you did.
Some other preparation reminders are to keep you vehicle's gas tank above the half mark at all times. Also keep you cell phone charged at all times. Due dates are just estimates you never can be sure when you will go into labor.
There will be so many sweet moments you will want to capture those first few months, so take the time now to get ready. So buy film or memory cards and make sure you have enough. The same goes for batteries make sure all the cameras and recorders are charged and that you have enough extra batteries. those moments only come once, so capture them while you can.
