You already know, Farmville is insanely addicting. The farmville developers have even turned my mom into a gaming addict. If your one of the hundreds of thousands of farmville players and are not satisfied with a few plots of land and a chicken coop then this article is for you.
1) New players Should focus on purchasing nothing but crops. Buildings and decorations can be tempting, but they will cost you time in the long run, crops and tiles are what will lead you to farmville domination, you need land - period.
2) Got Accessories? - Listen, farmers are consumers too. Move all of your farmville 'stuff' to one area - trees and animals included. You don't need them to obstruct your harvesting, you'll get all the 'toys' later, for now let's just focus on farming.
3) Mass Add Neighbors - The greatest thing about farmville is having neighbors - as many as possible. When you next log-in to facebook use the search box to type in "add friends farmville",then visit the "add farmville neighbors" profile and click the "like" button. Post "add me" on the wall. Before you know it your farm will be over-run by "gifted" animals, accessories and farming equipment!
4) Don't Click on Yourself - You know how frustrating it can get to "harvest" while avoiding clicking on your character. To get around this purchase bales of hay and surround your character with them upon logging-in. This will allow you to manage your entire farm without having to dodge your character which is frustrating. Farmville neighbors will be grateful to as they'll be able to fertilize and feed your farm without self-clicking.
5) Farmers are always on time - Only grow crops you know you can manage. If you log in every 4 hours from your Laptop Then you should be able to afford to grow those fast Crops, If your logging in once per day then those same crops will be rotten by the time you get back to your farm. You get 4 hours from the time growing is complete to harvest your bounty.
6) Leveling up - Harvesting a crop will typically give you one experience point. You want to harvest as many crops on as many land tiles as possible. Strawberries can be harvested in 4 hours, A good deal of xp. Some fruits can be tempting because they grow quick and make good cash; raspberries produce no xp. focus on crops with a proper balance.
7) Take Care of Your Neighbors - Rake leaves, pull weeds, fertilize and don't cut the foxes any slack. You should have a ton of neighbors from your Facebook Farmville add me page, and each neighbor grants you the opportunity to earn more and more XP. Feeding chickens grants 1 XP, and each plot of land grants additional XP. Each day 5 plots of land can be worked for each neighbor, you can see how important it is to have as many neighbors as possible.
8) get your ribbon on - Ribbons grant additional experience (and coins) and blue ribbons especially.
9) farmers need toys - after you've accumulated enough land and crops you can focus on being even more productive by starting to purchase farming equipment. This will allow you to farm at 4X speed, fuel might be a little costly, but it pays for itself. Tractors are great fun and you can get a lot of work done in just a few minutes.
10) power level -If you can see that your just about to level up and don't feel like waiting you can plant something simple like soybeans which will give you instant XP at the cost of a few coins.
remember to have fun - Remember the whole point of the game is to have fun, leave friendly signs for your neighbors, communicate and say thanks. working with other players is what farmville is all about - enjoy them. Brag about your farm and help your neighbors with theirs, or engage in a friendly competition to see who can build the best Farmville farm. Farmville is a great way to meet and interact with new people.
