The Republic of Ireland can be found in the north west of Europe and consists of 4 provinces which are then divided into 26 counties.

The main tourist destinations can be found on the East Coast and Midlands where the capital Dublin can be found, which is also Europe's fourth most visited capital city. The city of Dublin holds much of Ireland's culture and historical knowledge in museums such as National Museum of Ireland & Archaeology, The National Gallery of Ireland and the Irish Museum of Modern Art.

Other activities in Dublin that attract many tourists are tours of the Guinness Storehouse and the Old Jameson Distillery.

County Clare offers visitors to Ireland the chance to view the cliffs of Moher. The beautiful cliffs consist mainly of beds of Namurian shale and sandstone. The oldest rocks can be found at the bottom of the 400ft mountains where 300 million year old river channels cutting through the base of the cliffs can be seen. It is possible to view the cliffs from the sea or enjoy a hike and explore the vast wilderness.

The South West of Ireland is home to dramatic coastlines such beautiful islands like Valentia Island and quaint towns such as Waterville. If in the South West a trip on the Ring of Kerry is a must, the ring is a tour of some of the most scenic and beautiful natural areas in Ireland and a trip can easily be organised as tour buses can be booked to enjoy the 170km+ trip.
